Guided by principles of human-scale development and equitable growth, the City of Jackson Department of Planning and Development advances inclusive planning that supports sustainable neighborhoods, balanced progress, and opportunities for all across the city.
The overall goal of this Office is to assure the smooth and efficient operation of these divisions through planning studies, administration of the zoning and historic preservation ordinances, enforcement of zoning and land use codes, and administration of planning grants received by the City. The Office of City Planning works with the Director and other offices within Planning and Development to facilitate and enhance the growth and development of Jackson.
